What data we process and why

  • Contact and quote request forms: name, company, email, phone and country (if provided), service of interest and your message. We use them to reply to your request. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and your consent.
  • Job applications (Work with us): identification and contact data, qualification, role of interest, cover note, CV and attached documents. We use them to assess your application and contact you. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps (Art. 6.1.b) and your consent (Art. 6.1.a). Please do not include special categories of data (health, opinions, etc.) that are not necessary for the assessment.
  • Suggestions, complaints and compliments: first and last name, company (optional), email address, type of message, message text, any attachments (PDF or images), page language and IP address. We use them to handle your message, reply to you and, for complaints, process them under the laboratory's quality management system (UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025). Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for submitting the form and the controller's legitimate interest in running the quality system (Art. 6.1.f). Please do not include special categories of data (for example health data) or data that is not necessary for your message.
  • Website usage statistics: aggregated, anonymous data such as pages visited, referral source, country and device type, without cookies or identifiers of individual visitors (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f).
  • Technical data: like any website, the server temporarily logs IP address, date and time and requested pages for security and operation (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f).

How we process them and who receives them

Messages are delivered to the company mailboxes of the sales department (requests) and of HR and management (applications). Messages sent through the dedicated form are recorded in the laboratory's internal management system and received by the quality office and management. Data may be processed by providers of IT, hosting and email services (Aruba S.p.A.) acting as processors. We do not sell or give your data to third parties and do not transfer them outside the European Economic Area, except for the Google map on the Contact page and the Cloudflare services described further below.

How long we keep them

Commercial requests for the time needed to reply and, if a relationship follows, for its duration and legal obligations. Suggestions, complaints and compliments for the time needed to handle them and reply to you and, for complaints, for the period required by the laboratory's quality management system. Applications for up to 24 months from submission, unless you consent otherwise or ask for deletion.

Cookies and third-party services

This website uses no profiling cookies and no marketing tools, and fonts are served from our own server. To measure how the site is used we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, does not track individual visitors and provides aggregated data only. The "Suggestions, complaints and compliments" form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): to tell people from automated programs, Cloudflare may process your IP address and technical browser data under its own policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). The transfer to the United States relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or other safeguards provided for by the GDPR. Turnstile uses no profiling or marketing cookies. The Contact page embeds a Google Maps map: when it loads, Google may collect browsing data under its own policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp and the BIOSAN CONNECT portal lead to third-party sites with their own policies.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@biosan-lab.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
